Before the summer, a QPR midfielder shares an emotional parting message. Newcastle United relocates
This summer, Isaac Hayden will return to Newcastle United following a successful loan to QPR.
Isaac Hayden joined QPR in January with the goal of keeping a relegation-threatened R’s team in the Championship after seeing his move to Standard Liege in Belgium cut short.

With a thrilling 4-0 victory over play-off-chasing Leeds United, QPR managed to pull themselves clear of relegation danger under the direction of Marti Cifuentes, who took over for Gareth AInsworth in the Loftus Road bench. This victory ensured that QPR went into the final day already secure from the drop.

Isaac Hayden on X: "Big victory today and even bigger response from a poor result midweek. We must continue to work and improve to get more victories. Big thank you to away

During his stint at QPR, Hayden made 17 appearances and was a regular starter after making his debut in February. ‘Where to start, from entering on Feb 1st in the relegation zone, to concluding the season today with a 3rd victory in a row and securing safety last weekend officially with a game to spare,’ the 29-year-old wrote in an emotional parting post on Instagram after leaving Loftus Road.

Being able to play for this club has been a pleasure. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the owners, Christian and the manager, for providing me with this opportunity. I also want to thank the guys with whom I have shared a dressing room, the back room staff for their selfless sacrifices and contributions, and the fans for their unwavering support of the team and me personally since I joined. I will always cherish and remember that period of time. Who knows what the future holds, but thus far it’s been an honor, and I’m confident that this club will only go so far. You are forever a ranger, rrrssss.

The 29-year-old will now return to Tyneside where he still has two years left on his current contract. However, Hayden hasn’t featured for the Magpies since December 2021 and is expected to leave the club, whether on a temporary or permanent basis, this summer.

Hayden played 33 games for Newcastle United during their 2016–17 Championship-winning campaign after joining from Arsenal. His hard-working and fierce tackling style of play helped him win over many fans in the northeast.
