After AC Milan was eliminated from the Europa League, the players were challenged by the club Ultras.

Following a 2-1 second leg loss to Roma on Thursday night, which resulted in a 3-1 aggregate victory over their league rivals, Stefano Pioli’s team was eliminated from the competition.

Given the impending Milan derby, it was the Rossoneri’s third game without a victory, and their supporters made sure their displeasure was known.

The AC Milan players encountered the club’s ultras when they approached the visiting supporters following the game at the Stadio Olimpico.

The supporters, who were furious following Milan’s goalless evening, stood and confronted the players and officials.

Following the game, the visiting fans are said to have chanted, “grow some balls,” directed at the Milan players.

The Italian powerhouses’ next game is scheduled for Monday night against Inter Milan, and they will play Juventus the following Sunday.

Pioli’s team is currently six points ahead of the Old Lady but 14 points behind Inter in the Serie A standings.

Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala gave Daniele De Rossi’s team the lead that evening, but Matteo Gabbia added a late consolation goal.

It was Mancini’s second goal of the match, having given his team the lead going into the second leg at the San Siro.

Milan was defeated to a 3-3 tie by Sassuolo in between their Europa League quarterfinals; they will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Inter.

After defeating Milan, Roma advances to the competition’s semifinals where they will play Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen. The subsequent leg of the match will pit Marseille against Atalanta.

West Ham and Liverpool, two English teams, were eliminated from the competition after respective losses of 3-1 against Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen.
