This summer, QPR will fight to retain in-demand Jake Clarke-Salter.
This summer, Queen’s Park Rangers will have to fight to retain onto defender Jake Clarke-Salter, a former graduate of the Chelsea academy, as he looks to return to the Premier League.
After an incredible season finale under Marti Cifuentes, the 26-year-old is drawing a lot of interest from teams in the highest echelons of the Championship.
Among the teams eager to sign the defender are Stoke City; the transfer fee may range from £5 million to £10 million, depending on the terms of the deal.
The former Chelsea academy graduate will choose his team depending on their chances of promotion, since he has long sought a return to the Premier League.
There’s also an informal agreement that QPR will consider letting its standout defense advance if a Premier League team makes a move for Clarke-Salter.
When Michael Beale was at Rangers last summer, he made an approach, but QPR declined it and will now pursue fair recompense.
Before joining Birmingham, Sunderland, and Coventry City on loan from Chelsea, Clarke-Salter played 118 appearances in the Championship.
Additionally, he played for Bristol Rovers in League One and Vitesse, Chelsea’s feeder club in the Netherlands, as well as two appearances for the Blues in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.
