Warrington Wolves have announced that Matt Dufty has signed a new contract extension that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2026 Betfred Super League season.

Dufty has begun the 2024 season in scorching style, with 11 Super League try contributions, including six tries and five try assists. The fullback is also the competition’s best metre maker, clocking 933 metres and winning the Smart Energy Metre Maker of the Week award three times in a row.

The 28-year-old’s impressive start to the year has him rated second in the current Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel standings.

Dufty said of the new deal, “I’m happy to extend my tenure at the club.

“I’m thoroughly enjoying my time at Warrington and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

“Sam [Burgess] and Gleese [Martin Gleeson] have been fantastic for me this year. They get me involved in the game, and the way they’ve set up our offense this year has worked well for me.

“I believe Warrington has some of the best fans in all of sport. They’re passionate, and we intend to make them proud.
