Due to an injury-plagued campaign in Germany, Nmecha’s stock has declined. Ipswich Town should take advantage of this as he approaches the last year of his Wolfsburg contract by making a summer acquisition.

The former Manchester City prospect has demonstrated his abilities in Europe and is familiar with the English game. At Anderlecht, he scored 21 goals in 41 games, while with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, he managed a decent 16 goals in 65 games.

Nmecha would work well under Kieran McKenna’s system because he is a formidable presence at the top of the pitch. He has also previously played as a second striker or out wide.

Kevin Denkey is an additional option to think about if Ipswich Town wants to cast their net a little further.

The striker, who has scored 27 goals in 36 games for Cercle Brugge, has had another successful season in Belgian football. He’s prepared for a more difficult test, and this summer might be the time he takes that step.

The 23-year-old is a potent striker as well, as evidenced by his 50 goals in 121 games. He also scores goals naturally.
