Summer mercato preparations are under way, and AC Milan will assess their requirements and preferences as the window approaches. Midfield is one area where the Rossoneri might need to make an investment, and one of their targets has discussed what it means to be associated with the team.
According to a report published today, Milan’s senior executives see the need to bolster their midfield, particularly in light of the fact that they could have been more competitive for the Scudetto if they had more defensive options.
It is therefore thought that the club is considering three applicants. First up is Khephren Thuram, a Frenchman who is respected for his ability to play in a midfield two or three. According to today’s news, Youssouf Fofana and Ibrahima Sissoko are two more Frenchmen that the Rossoneri might assess.
Following Monaco’s match against the Metz, Fofana talked with MilanNews and shared his opinions regarding the connections to Milan.
Would you like to join some of your French teammates at Milanello?
“In my opinion, Milan is a very large team. Everyone is aware of Milan’s track record of success. But I’m still committed to my goal, whatever the noise in Italy.
It will be a marathon to get Monaco into the Champions League, which is my goal. Every game from here until the conclusion of the season is like the championship. Seven games remain to be played. There are “scratch” points in every game where we have to give it your all. As a player for Monaco, you are aware that winning the Champions League is the team’s inevitable objective.
“As I said, Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world with an impressive trophy cabinet, but my focus at the moment is to qualify for the Champions League with Monaco.”
