Jeremy Allen White Has Been “Texting” Bruce Springsteen Ahead of Filming New Biopic

Just a few months ago, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White was confirmed to be playing legendary musician Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere. The film is still in pre-production and filming has not yet begun, but White is already preparing to take on the role toward the end of the year. In preparation to play the “Born In The U.S.A.” hitmaker, White has allegedly been texting Springsteen for some inspiration.

In a recent red carpet interview with Variety, White said that he had been messaging Springsteen through text and email for a bit. He also hopes to see the musician at his upcoming London, England concert tonight at Wembley Stadium. They may potentially meet there, as well.

“I’m really excited to see him perform,” White said in the new Variety interview.

Only a month ago, White noted that he wasn’t quite ready to meet Springsteen face-to-face.

“I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man,” White said in the older Variety interview, shown in the Instagram reel above. “I wanna try to have an understanding, so when I meet him, I’ll have a bit of confidence somewhere in me to stand there.”

We’d be nervous to talk to Bruce Springsteen, too. One can only imagine how White feels. Hopefully, White will be able to meet The Boss tonight at his London concert. He also revealed that he planned on singing in the movie on his own, rather than relying on an overdub.

What Will The Bruce Springsteen Biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ Be About?

Deliver Me From Nowhere will detail the production of Springsteen’s breakthrough album Nebraska. The iconic album was released in 1982. It was famously first recorded as a series of demos on a four-track recorder. The new film will be based on a 2023 biography written by Warren Zanes called Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making Of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. Springsteen as well as his manager are also going to be involved with the production of the biopic.

Deliver Me From Nowhere is set to start filming in late September of this year. No release date has been disclosed quite yet. Keep your eyes peeled!
