Deep Purple causes you to fall down the rankings.
Taylor Swift is dethroned by Deep Purple (34)! With their new album “=1”, the British cult rock band has a chance to dethrone GfK Entertainment’s Official German Album Charts. This is the Rockers’ eighth consecutive number-one album. Swift’s album “The Tortured Poets Department” drops to third place as Stray Kids’ “Ate” drops to number two. With the album, the Megastar had taken the top spot the week before.
Taylor Swift sets a new record
It’s still a good week for Swift in the charts; she’s presently in Germany for her “The Eras Tour” and will be performing in Munich on July 27 and 28. According to a press release, the American singer breaks a record by adding eleven complete albums to the list—something no other singer has ever done. The German rapper Kool Savas (49) debuts at number four with his “Rap Genius – EP”. Olivia Rodrigo, 21, makes a significant move when she uses “Guts” to go up from position 82 to number five.
Movement also makes an appearance in the Single Charts’ Top Five. After “Wunder” by Can Ayliva and Apache drops to number two, “Starboy” by Luciano and Jazeek takes over at number one. “I Like The Way You Kiss Me” knocks Artemas out of third place, while “Ich bin da” moves up to number four. With “Nein!” Ayliva wins the bronze medal as a rookie. The updated rendition of “Zeit, dass sich was dreht” by Shohei Bani, Ericson, and Herbert Groňnemeyer rounds out the Top Five…
As stated in a press release, Taylor Swift broke a record by having eleven albums in the charts at once, even if Deep Purple dethroned her from the Official German Album Charts. Swift’s partner Ayliva is #1 on the Single Charts that GfK also tracks with her song “Wunder,” which is in competition with Luciano and Jazeek’s “Starboy” at number two.
