“The Legend”: Dimash Kudaibergen Plays the New Jackie Chan Movie’s Theme Song
ASTANA: On July 12, Jackie Chan’s eagerly awaited new movie, “The Legend,” opened in theaters. The song “This Love,” sung by Kazakh artist Dimash Kudaibergen, appears on the film’s closing credits. The song was made available on music services on July 5.
The new movie, which stars Jackie Chan, tells the tale of archaeologist Jack and his pupils discovering an artifact that can be used to go from the actual world to the dream realm. According to dimashnews.com, the archaeologist discovered that the relics discovered during the glacier excavation had a texture similar to a jade pendant he had seen in a dream.
The Oscar music judge Nathan Wang, who has worked with Jackie Chan for many years, wrote the song “This Love.” This new song is Mr. Wang and Kudaibergen’s third joint effort.
Kudaibergen performed the “Happy” music for the movie “Vanguard” in 2020. Three years later, the Kazakh musician was in China for the Golden Panda award, where he and well-known Chinese vocalist Wei Wei sang the composition “Join Hands,” which was also composed by master Nathan Wang.
Nathan Wang told DimashNews about how he first met Kudaibergen and some of the more fascinating times they had together.
I was astonished by Dimash’s musical ability from the moment we met at Hunt Studio in Los Angeles. I was playing the piano, and it was so much fun to jam with him. He knew exactly where I was going with my chords, so he was able to create a lovely tune over my accompaniment. We seemed to be walking on clouds as I attempted to anticipate where his music would lead. Dimash will achieve his goals in life. I am certain of one thing: God has given him his voice, a priceless gift. And he distributes it among all of us,” he remarked.
