The South Carolina Gamecocks are one win away.
Dawn Staley is back in the national championship game.
After taking down the Texas Longhorns 74-57, the Gamecocks head coach walked off the court with a simple two-word message.
“One more,” Staley bellowed to the Gamecock faithful who all made the short trip from Columbia, South Carolina to Tampa, Florida.
Staley and her team are now on the verge of history.
The three-time national champion has her squad back in the title game for the third time in the last four years.
And fourth in the last eight.
She is undefeated in national championship games at 3-0, but Staley doesn’t want to hear that.
After the game, the coach tried to put it all in perspective with one game left.
“Nothing that happened prior to here is going to help us on Sunday, nothing,” Staley said.

“I’d feel real good about that,” she joked.
Staley won’t have to worry about the Bruins, as the Huskies took care of the number one overall seed in dominating fashion, setting the stage for a rematch of 2022’s national title game.
South Carolina defeated Uconn 64-49 and will be looking for a similar result once more on Sunday.
While being undefeated in the title game won’t spot Staley any points beforehand, it has tremendously upped her bank account.
After last season’s national title, South Carolina made Staley the highest-paid women’s college basketball coach of all-time with an annual salary of $4 million.
Title number four could even bring her an ever bigger payday.
All she is thinking about though, is “one more.”
One more win and she is back on the top of the college basketball mountaintop.
Although, she never really left it.
