Trump ― who ignited, then paused, a tariff war with Canada ― has been taunting the nation’s northern neighbor and steadfast ally for months. He’s repeatedly said it should be America’s 51st state, and mocked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as its “governor.”

“Republicans seem to be rooting for this because they’re now just a party of snickering trolls,” Kimmel said. “But let’s just imagine for a second that somehow they do make this happen and Canada does become a state. Do they think it would be a red state?”

Canada, he noted, has a population of about 41 million, a little more than California, which has 54 electoral votes.

“If Canada also had 54 electoral votes, forget MAGA,” he said. “Our next president will be a kind-hearted lesbian moose.”

The audience cheered.

“I’m trying to say I’m for it,” Kimmel added. “Save us, Canada, you’re our only hope.”

Jimmy Kimmel held no punches on Ye during his opening monologue on Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! In fact, he wants Will Smith to give out a slap.

Speaking on the sights and sounds of The Grammys, Kimmel called Ye a “rodent” for the display he put on with his wife Bianca Censori.

“She was wearing nothing. This shows you just how much times have changed. Before Trump, this would have been our whole monologue tonight. Now it’s like the ninth craziest thing that happened this weekend,” Kimmel said.

“And you know what’s a shame? Will Smith, all he had to do was run out on that red carpet and slap Kanye,” Kimmel said. “I think all would be forgiven. He would be hosting the Oscars next year.”

A lip reader details the conversation between Kanye West and Bianca Censori on the Grammys red carpet. Censori wore a completely see-through dress with nothing underneath, which was revealed by dropping her fur coat.

The professional lip reader states Ye told Censori to start “making a scene now.”

The reader added Ye said, “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense.” According to The Daily Mail, Censori shook her head at first, Ye responded “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.”

Censori obliged, “All right, let’s go.”

After that moment were contrasting reports. A source told Page Six that security ushered the couple off the red carpet, while another said, “He walked the red carpet and then got in his car and left.”
