Contract Confirmed: Hershey Bears sign $32 Million dollars sensational goaltender

The Hershey Bears have announced the signing of goaltender Seth Eisele to an American Hockey League (AHL) contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Following the signing, Eisele has been loaned to the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays, where he has been showcasing exceptional performance.

Eisele, 26, has made a significant impact in his rookie season with the Stingrays. In his first four professional games, he achieved a 3-0-1 record, including back-to-back shutouts in his initial two starts. He first blanked the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on October 26, making 24 saves, and then recorded another shutout against the Florida Everblades on November 1, stopping 36 shots. These stellar performances earned him the ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors for October 21-27. As of now, Eisele maintains a 1.50 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage.

Standing at 6’5″ and weighing 205 pounds, the Lake Elmo, Minnesota native attended Hershey’s 2024 Training Camp. During the preseason, he appeared in a game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on October 3, where he stopped 19 of 20 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss. Prior to turning professional, Eisele played collegiate hockey, spending four seasons at Lake Superior State University before transferring to the University of Nebraska Omaha for his final year. In the 2023-24 season with the Mavericks, he posted a 4-1-1 record, a 2.19 goals-against average, and a .919 save percentage.

 

Eisele’s journey to the professional ranks began with his signing to an ECHL deal with the Stingrays on August 22, 2024. His rapid progression and outstanding early performances have now led to his AHL contract with the Hershey Bears. While he continues to develop with the Stingrays, his trajectory indicates a promising future in professional hockey.
