When it comes to Jacqui and Ryan’s relationship on Married At First Sight, it’s clear that things haven’t exactly been smooth sailing.
But when faced with the experts at the first Commitment Ceremony, no one expected the groom to make an unusual complaint as soon as the pair took to the couch.
“We did have a perfect vision for coming into this… so I’m very curious as to how yourself and the team pretty much ignored what we said?” Ryan quipped to John Aiken.
“Oh really?” John said, clearly intrigued
Ryan then listed one particular example; he’d always dreamed of cooking with a partner, but Jacqui hates cooking.
“You’ll have to go deeper than that,” John responded.
Then it was Jacqui’s turn. “Ryan doesn’t listen to me,” she said. “For example, the first night we stayed in the same room… it was quite cold. I requested that we turned the temperature up, and he prefers the temperature down.
While the rest of the room gasped at Jacqui’s slight inconvenience, she continued: “I was kind of disappointed, but I was like – fine, I’ll just wear a jumper to bed.
“Then I started to notice a lot of things like leaving dirty clothes around, shoes on the bed, not closing the bathroom when you’re using the bathroom…”
Of course, it wasn’t all bad news.
Despite the bumps in the road, the two did manage to bond over their shared business savviness and, of course, their mutual love for cryptocurrency.
It’s a conversation you have to see to believe, and the experts were utterly shook with the drastic turnaround.
“You guys sat down tonight and said basically you’re not compatible. The next breath, you outline very clearly why you’re so good together,” John said in disbelief.
“You two are not easy to match, let me tell you!”
