Austin City Limits Music Festival organizers announced Friday that singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez will no longer perform during Weekend 2.
The change comes hours before he was set to go on stage on Friday, October 11.
In a social media post, Sanchez shared he woke up suddenly ill.
“ACL, I woke up this morning incredibly ill and with my voice entirely gone. As excited as I was to see you all today, I’m unable to perform,” said Sanchez. “I apologize dearly and hope to make it up in the future. Thank you for understanding.”
The Paper Kites, originally scheduled to perform at 3:30 p.m., will now be performing at 5:30 p.m. on the T-Mobile Stage, according to a post on ACL’s official social media account.

The latest band to cancel was Caamp who was also originally set to perform during Weekend 2.
