Emergency services are on the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Palmerston Road, Walthamstow after a police pursuit ended in a crash, leaving at least one person trapped inside a vehicle
Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were called to the scene to free those trapped, and paramedics assessed them for injuries. The extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Police on Scene, Road Closed in Both Directions
Metropolitan Police have established a cordon, and the road remains closed in both directions while investigations continue. Traffic delays are expected, and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
A spokesperson for the Met Police has yet to provide further details, and we are awaiting an official update regarding the circumstances of the police pursuit and any potential arrests.

NI traffic alerts: Long delays coming into Belfast as A-road down to single lane

Dundonald delays
The A20 Upper Newtownards Road is down to one lane in each direction in Dundondald, from Rosepark to Knock golf club – delays are expected at peak times throughout the day.
Long delays coming into Belfast
There are long delays between Greenisland and Whiteabbey with the A2 Shore Road down to a single lane.
Co Antrim crash update
Frosses Road has now fully reopened to motorists following an earlier collision. However police are warning that road conditions in the area are treacherous due to the current weather and are advising road users to slow down.
A2 disruption due to collapsed manhole
An emergency closure is in place on lane 1 of the A2 Belfast to Bangor Road in Cultra, from Station Road for a distance of 300 yards, due to a collapsed manhole.
The closure will be in place until at least Tuesday.
Disruption will be caused, particularly through the evening peak period.
Co Antrim crash
There has been a multiple-vehicle collision on the Frosses Road, between Ballymena and Ballymoney. Local diversions are in place, but the northbound lanes are completely closed to traffic. Police are advising road users to seek an alternative route where possible.
East Belfast road closure due to ‘NIE emergency’
Dundela Avenue in east Belfast, between Belmont Road and Dundela Street is currently closed due to an emergency for NIE. Local diversions are in place.
It is understood the duration of the closure will be dependant on weather issues, with efforts being made to reopen over the weekend, but it may continue into the middle of next week.
Crash on A1 heading towards Hillsborough Roundabout
The PSNI is at the scene of an ongoing incident on the A1 heading towards Hillsborough Roundabout. The incident is passable with care.
Newry crash
Police in Newry remain at the scene of a one-vehicle collision on the Low Road, near its junction with the Lower Newtown Road. The road is closed and there are a number of diversions in the area.
A26 crash
Police are at the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic accident on the A26 Lisnevenagh Rd near Ballymena. A number of emergency service vehicles are currently at the scene, with delays expected.
The Antrim-bound carriage-way has been reduced to one-lane.
Emergency services at scene of serious Belfast crash
Road users are advised of a serious collision in the Ravenhill Road area in south Belfast.
Emergency services are at the scene. The road has been closed between the roundabout at the Ormeau Road junction and St Judes Parade. Local diversions are in place.
Broken down car on M3
Just before 7.30pm, Trafficwatch NI posted on X: “Belfast – M3 – Road users are advised of a break down on the outer lane of the M3 Lagan bridge in the direction of Dee Street. Incident is passable in inner lane”.
Two-car crash in Lurgan
Emergency services are at the scene of a two-car collision in Lurgan.
It’s understood the collision happened on Millennium Way close to a Tesco supermarket.
Police and the ambulance service are at the scene.
