Jose Mourinho set to return to London to Head Top League Two Club

In October 2024, José Mourinho humorously suggested a potential return to London football by mentioning Millwall as a possible destination. During an interview, he quipped, “Millwall. I just cross the bridge from my house!”

Mourinho, known as “The Special One,” has a storied history in English football, having managed Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur. His family resides in London, which he still considers home. However, he emphasized his commitment to his current role at Fenerbahçe, stating, “For the next two years, no one will take me from Fenerbahçe.”

Millwall, competing in the Championship, recently saw the resignation of manager Neil Harris. This development led fans to recall Mourinho’s jest and playfully urge him to consider the position. Despite the enthusiasm, Mourinho has expressed reluctance to manage teams facing relegation battles, citing the emotional challenges involved.

While the idea of Mourinho managing Millwall intrigues fans, his current commitments and previous statements suggest that such a move is unlikely in the near future.
