Oasis gives final verdict if to cancel their reunion or not due to: Noel Gallagher has this to say…
Anaïs Gallagher, the daughter of Noel, was reportedly unaware that her father was planning an Oasis reunion.
It was announced in August that the iconic Britpop band would be reuniting in the summer of 2025 for a live tour, marking their first concerts since their split in 2009.
There had been rumours swirling that the Manchester-based band were due to reunite, though Blossoms frontman Tom Ogden revealed during an interview with Radio X that Anaïs was completely unaware of her father’s and uncle’s plans.
“Do you know what? Noel’s daughter Anaïs was staying at mine and Katie’s [his wife] house when these new stories were breaking,” recalled Ogden (via The Mirror). “And she actually didn’t have a clue. She was texting around people she knew to find out if it was true. She got no word.
“When we were playing Wythenshawe the next day and Anaïs was coming to watch us, she still didn’t know. I got a phonecall a couple of hours before we went on stage, from our management, saying: ‘We need to show a video clip after your gig. I can’t tell you what it is. But it’s very exciting.’
“We kind of put two and two together at that point. Obviously, the teaser went out and the rest is history. Oasis were back. Everywhere’s sold out. Ticket mayhem,” he continued, adding that he would “tap Anaïs up” for tickets to the sold-out tour.
The upcoming tour, titled ‘Oasis Live ‘25’ will kick off in Cardiff on July 4 before moving to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. The band will then travel to the US and Mexico before gigs in Asia, Australia and South America, with the final performance – at least so far – scheduled for Brazil on November 23.
