There have been pretty interesting moments for Shohei Ohtani as of late, but probably the most one is his lates injury and after that, the Los Angeles Dodgers star had to go to the doctor for a surgery.
The Japanese player had arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday to repair a labrum tear in his left shoulder, something was believed to be a dislocation. The truth about the seriousness of the issue has come to light.
Ohtani suffered the injury during Game 2 of the World Series against the New York Yankees on October 26. In the middle of uncertainty, he did manage to play the rest of the series but he was not the same.
Looking to be ready soon
According to reports, Shohei Ohtani will be ready to go once spring training starts in February but, what limitations will he have to be ready to play considering he did not pitch during last season.
Although the injury was in his nonthrowing shoulder while sliding into second base on a stolen base attempt, the expectation is for him to be playing offense and pitching in 2025, but with this the plans could change a bit.
His routine might be different and his ability to train and prepare at a high level before the season to play both ways could change soon and it will a matter of weeks for everyone to know more.

Japanese Shohei Ohtani underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair the labrum tear he suffered when he dislocated his left shoulder during Game 2 of the World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers revealed on their social networks.
“Shohei Ohtani underwent successful arthroscopic surgery today, performed in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, to repair a torn labrum that resulted from a dislocated left shoulder on Oct. 26. He is expected to be ready for spring training,” the team’s post reads.
The two-way player is expected to return for spring training in the MLB.
He was initially diagnosed with a mild dislocation of the shoulder during an attempt to steal a base, although he played the rest of the World Series against the New York Yankees.
The surgical procedure was performed in Los Angeles by specialist Dr. Neal ElAttrache.
