The SimRacing Expo has unleashed a wave of enthusiasm and marked the entry of numerous brands into the market. What we’ve seen is that many brands are keen to secure a significant share of the pie, with strong competition in terms of steering wheels, wheelbases, pedals, cockpits, and more.
In this post, we’ll focus on the high-end steering wheels on display, as there are some real gems.
Asetek Invicta Formula
We’ve reviewed it here, and it’s undoubtedly the best product from this company so far. Nothing was left to chance, and the integrations and details make it one of the finest products we’ve tested.
Fanatec Podium Bentley GT3
After years of development and testing on its real-life counterpart, the Bentley GT3 steering wheel is finally available for purchase. Like its BMW predecessor, it’s designed to be directly usable in the actual car. The most eye-catching feature—although not the most practical—is the rotating panel.
Moza Racing Lamborghini Essenza SCV12
A recent collaboration brings its first fruits with this replica steering wheel, inspired by the real-life counterpart. This is Moza’s most expensive product to date (excluding wheelbases) and is likely one of their best. We’ll see if we can get our hands on it soon.
Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Ultimate
An upgraded version of the GT4 model used in the race car, now featuring a screen. We already reviewed this beauty on our platform and was left with a fantastic impression. Unfortunately, it had to return to Germany—we miss it.
Trak Racer BWT Alpine F1 Team A522
The American brand is diving fully into the hardware market, preparing pedals, wheelbases, and steering wheels for their launch. What better way to showcase their collaboration with Alpine than with a replica of the real F1 wheel, slated for release in 2025.
Cube Controls Mercedes-AMG Esports Edition
The Italian brand, partnered with Mercedes Esports, is licensed to create exciting designs like these, some of which are even adapted for use in real vehicles.
Sim-Lab Mercedes-AMG F1
Also collaborating with Mercedes, but this time with the F1 branch, is Richard Schouteren’s brand, offering a detailed replica of the steering wheel used by Hamilton and Russell. A flawless product that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
We hope to test it soon. At the moment you can preorder for 2699 euros by clicking here:
VPG Ford Mustang GT3
A replica of the real GT3 model, adding one more piece to the growing collection of current models that we can use at home. It’s exactly like the competition version, only adapted for simRacing.
Thrustmaster Hypercar Wheel Add-On
Though at a lower tier, Thrustmaster presented what they consider to be their best wheel rim to date. This Hypercar configuration allows them to break into the mid-range market with an excellent commercial offering.
