‘Oregon is right there’ -Ducks’ Lands the commitment of most wanted Linebacker.Head Coach Comfirms

In the 2025 recruiting class, the Oregon Ducks currently have one linebacker lined up, and he’s a good one. 4-star Nasir Wyatt from the California powerhouse Mater Dei High School has been committed to the Ducks since May.

Apparently, Oregon is looking to add another one. Kaleb Burns, who On3 has ranked as a 4-star recruit, has been committed to Baylor since July 30. That hasn’t stopped Oregon from pursuing him.Oregon offered Burns in September, something that apparently came as a surprise.

“When they offered me in September, it came out of nowhere. I wasn’t really hearing from them or anything, but since they offered, they have been recruiting me hard, putting in the work and really showing me that they want me,” Burns told On3.

He was present for the Oregon vs Ohio State game at Autzen stadium, along with numerous other top recruits. Like what we’ve heard from seemingly every recruit that was in attendance, Burns left very impressed.“It was a great visit. It is one of the best I have been on. Oregon showed great hospitality, I like the location and the set up and the coaches are great. I spent time with B Mike (Brian Michalowski) and we have built a good relationship. I like coach Lanning a lot too. Overall, how I was greeted and just the visit made everything great all around,” Burns said.

“Oregon is right there,” Burns said when asked about their position in his recruitment. “Since the great visit, they are chasing me every day. I am always on the phone with coach Lanning, they are recruiting me hard and Oregon has earned that spot on my list.”

For now, Burns is still committed to in-state Baylor, but it seems as though Oregon is making quite the impression on the 2025 linebacker. Oregon will continue their push to try and add another strong name to their 2025 recruiting class.
