Sad News to Announce as Former Maple Leafs Forward Pete Conacher Passes Away

The hockey world has lost another former NHL player, as Pete Conacher, an ex-Toronto Maple Leaf, has passed away. Conacher played for the Maple Leafs during the 1957-58 season, recording 1 assist in 5 games and accumulating a total of 86 points in 229 games over his career. In the 1957-58 season, the Maple Leafs were led by the legendary Dick Duff, who scored 49 points in 65 games, although the team finished last in the NHL, which at that time had only six teams.

The highlight of Conacher’s hockey career was winning the 1959 World Hockey Championship with the Belleville McFarlands.
