Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign former Alouettes’ linebacker….

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American linebacker Bryce Notree.

The six-foot-three, 225-pound native of Arlington, Texas played 14 games over two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes, recording 21 defensive tackles, 12 special teams tackles, and one sack. He was released by the team in mid-September following a brief demotion to the practice roster.

The 26-year-old signed with the Washington Commanders after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft but didn’t make the team’s final roster. He played 46 collegiate games at Southern Illinois University, making 247 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, four interceptions, and one fumble recovery. He was named second-team All-Conference as a senior.

The Blue Bombers also added American offensive lineman Chris Walker to the practice roster. The six-foot-six, 305-pound native of Lincoln, Neb. spent five years at the University of Nebraska as a defensive lineman before transferring to the University of Montana where converted to the offensive line and won the starting job at left tackle. He was named All-Big Sky honourable mention in 2023.

The Blue Bombers also released quarterback Darren Grainger and defensive lineman Brandon Wright from the practice roster.
