Michael B. Jordan is gearing up for his next major project, one that will see him return to both the director’s chair and the lead role in a remake of the classic ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ for Amazon MGM. Following his successful directorial debut with “Creed III”, Jordan is once again stepping behind the camera, this time for a new take on the heist thriller made famous by Steve McQueen in 1968 and Pierce Brosnan in 1999.
Jordan’s enthusiasm for filmmaking has been clear ever since his”Creed III” experience. Speaking about his passion for directing, Jordan previously shared how the lessons he learned from that film ignited a deeper interest in storytelling from behind the scenes. “I love it,” he said, expressing his excitement to continue directing. This marks a big leap as he balances both starring and directing in the same film, a feat he managed in “Creed III” and now brings to ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’.
The upcoming ‘Thomas Crown Affair’ remake is expected to deliver a fresh spin on the story of a wealthy businessman who plans elaborate heists for thrills. This version will have a script by Drew Pearce and will be produced by Jordan’s Outlier Society alongside Elizabeth Raposo. Like “Creed III”, the film is planned for a global theatrical release, signaling another big box-office presence for Jordan.
In addition to this project, Jordan is working on a star-studded vampire movie with frequent collaborator Ryan Coogler, showing his growing range as both an actor and director. Fans are eager to see what new elements Jordan will bring to the iconic ‘Thomas Crown Affair’, a film already rooted in cinematic history.
