Quandre Diggs Signs with Tennessee Titans: One-Year Deal Worth Up to $5 Million

Veteran safety Quandre Diggs has signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans, valued at up to $5 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Diggs later confirmed this “long-awaited news” on social media, expressing his excitement for the move.

The 11-year veteran previously spent five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks but became a free agent this offseason. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Diggs’ contract includes a $3 million base salary, with an additional $1 million in incentives based on playing time and another $1 million for performance achievements.

Diggs, a three-time Pro Bowler, had an impressive season last year, achieving a career-high 95 tackles, five passes deflected, and one interception. Despite his strong performance, the Seahawks released Diggs along with fellow safety Jamal Adams in March, a move that saved the team $27.5 million in cash.

Now, Diggs joins Adams in Tennessee, reuniting the two as they aim to strengthen the Titans’ secondary. Last season, the Titans’ defense struggled, allowing 335.1 yards and 21.6 points per game. With the experience and skills of Diggs and Adams, Tennessee hopes to enhance their defensive performance and return to playoff contention.

The Titans have faced challenges since winning the AFC South in 2021, finishing 7-10 in 2022 and 6-11 in 2023. By adding seasoned players like Diggs and Adams, the team aims to bolster their defense and regain competitiveness in the league.

As the Titans prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Diggs is a strategic move to improve their secondary. Both players bring valuable experience and leadership to a team eager to bounce back and compete for a playoff spot once again.
