British Lion Featuring Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris Announces Historic First-Ever New Zealand Concert: A Must-See Intimate Performance
Steve Harris, renowned as a founding member and bassist of the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden, will be bringing his side project, British Lion, to New Zealand this September.
The band will perform an intimate show at Auckland’s Paraoa Brewing Co, which has a capacity of just 400 people. This exclusive gig will take place the night before Iron Maiden performs at Spark Arena to a sold-out crowd of 12,000 fans.
British Lion offers a rare opportunity to experience Harris in a more personal setting, away from the massive arenas usually associated with Iron Maiden. The band, which includes vocalist Richard Taylor, guitarists David Hawkins and Grahame Leslie, and drummer Simon Dawson, explores a different musical direction with shorter, hard rock-oriented tracks and varied bass styles.
This New Zealand show on September 15th marks British Lion’s debut in the country. The performance will be supported by special guest Tony Moore’s Awake, with a local support act to be announced.
Steve Harris expressed his excitement about the show, saying, “We’re really excited to play our first-ever show in New Zealand and look forward to seeing you all on the road!”
