Teddy Swims has cancelled his first Manila show due to severe weather conditions.
Today (July 24), concert organizer Live Nation Philippines announced that Swims’ concert will no longer be pushing through due to the effects of Typhoon Carina (international name: Gaemi). “Your safety is a top priority. Please remain safe and alert,” stated Live Nation Philippines.
The American R&B/pop singer-songwriter’s show was supposed to happen later tonight at The Podium Hall in Mandaluyong City. Further details on ticket refunds will be provided by Live Nation Philippines as soon as possible. Watch this space for updates.
The concert was first announced last April 11 as part of the Asia Leg of his I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour in support of his debut album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), released on September 15, 2023. It was supposed to mark Swims’ first time performing in Manila after his show that was initially scheduled for last August 3, 2023 was also cancelled.
Taylor Swift’s “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” Re-Enters The Billboard Philippines Hot 100
This marks the second week that the song has charted on the Hot 100, reaching a new peak position of No. 85.
Taylor Swift is proving to be a formidable force on the Billboard Philippines charts, making her fourth entry on this week’s Hot 100 (dated July 26, 2024) with “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” at No. 85.
The track was released earlier this April 19, 2024, as part of Swift’s eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. Since the beginning of July, the track has been rising steadily in popularity, after being announced as the second official single off the album. Following the track’s departure from the charts over the past two weeks, it also marks the pop juggernaut’s first re-entry on the charts. Other tracks by Swift present within the Hot 100 are 2019’s “Cruel Summer” (at No. 42), and two other tracks from The Tortured Poets Department — including “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone (at No. 22) and “Guilty As Sin” (at No. 61.)
Aside from Swift’s re-entry on this week’s chart update, another notable re-entry is Alamat’s “Maharani,” which ranks at the No. 95 position on the Hot 100. This marks the song’s third week appearing on the Hot 100, following its departure from last week’s rankings. Other notable updates to this week’s Hot 100 rankings are new entries from ENHYPEN, Dionela, Sarah Geronimo, Chappell Roan, Megan Thee Stallion, and a whole lot more, showcasing just how diverse the listening patterns of Filipino audiences are.
Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart tracks the most prominent and most popular songs in the Philippines from both local and international artists. It serves as one of Billboard Philippines’ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Updated every week, the Hot 100 ranks the top 100 tracks in the country using both audio and streaming data gathered and organized by the leading music and entertainment data provider, Luminate.
