Bill Ward would ‘love’ to perform in England for one last time with Black Sabbath.

Bill Ward has stated that he would like to say farewell to Black Sabbath by performing one last gig with the venerable band.

The renowned drummer participated in the 2011 reunion of Black Sabbath’s original lineup, but he left the band the following year because of a sour contract disagreement.

Tommy Clufetos played with Sabbath on their swansong The End Tour as well as their Black Sabbath Reunion Tour.

Ozzy Osbourne declared Black Sabbath to be “unfinished” in a May episode of his web series The Madhouse Chronicles since Bill Ward was unable to play the band’s final show in Birmingham.

The absence of Bill made me unhappy. My drummer, Tommy Clufetos, did an amazing job. However, he’s not Bill Ward, Ozzy said.

Bill Ward Addresses Black Sabbath Reunion Show Speculation

“Black Sabbath wasn’t the ones who completed it. It’s not done. I would seize the opportunity to work with Bill again if they so desired.

Since then, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler have expressed their willingness to do a last Sabbath show, provided that Ozzy’s health permits.

“Ozzy was hoping to finish it all off next year back in Aston, at the Aston Villa ground,” Geezer said to Eddie Trunk in May. I would surely be willing to see the project through to the end.”

Tony Iommi, who was more reserved, remarked, “If that ever happens, it would be nice to do a one-off.”

Bill Ward stated on social media last night that he would also like to perform at Villa Park with Black Sabbath.

He wrote, “Bill Ward following up on all the news regarding a potential Sabbath show in England.”

“I’m going to play some of your all-time favorites. Playing them again would be a treat, as I really enjoyed doing it back when.

“I won’t discuss my health in public, but I will say that, at 76, I’m in quite excellent health, I play music every day, and I lead a full and fulfilling life.

“I love you all, forever and ever.”

In January, Sharon Osbourne initially disclosed that Ozzy hoped to perform Villa Park this summer as a farewell to his followers. It appears that those plans have been postponed till 2025.

Sharon disclosed earlier this month that Ozzy’s continued health issues are delaying his return to the UK.
