Barnsley FC have signed Tottenham Hotspur midfielder on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old joined Spurs’ youth team in 2019 and spent the latter half of last season on loan to Doncaster Rovers.
He made 20 appearances for Rovers, including nine of their 10 successive League Two wins that saw them secure a play-off spot.
“It’s been really good so far. I’ve looked around the ground, which is beautiful – a really good stadium,” Craig told the Tykes’ website, external.
“The people I have talked to already have been really welcoming. It’s been good.”
The then-20-year-old made his senior bow in January after joining the League Two club in the winter transfer window.
Craig started every league game bar two in the second half of Rovers’ season, and his measured and tidy midfield play marked him out as a player with a bright future. He scored once, at Grimsby Town.
From February to April, Rovers went on a remarkable run that took them from 22nd in League Two to fifth, only to lose their play-off semi-final to Crewe Alexandra on penalties.
