According to Sharon, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden was “eaten up with jealousy” for Ozzy Osbourne.

“But when you’ve got a singer that is so eaten up with jealousy for the headliner, it never goes well”

Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden was “eaten up with jealousy” for Ozzy Osbourne, according to Sharon Osbourne, who spoke candidly about their falling out.

The band proceeded with the performance until Sharon entered the stage, where she allegedly stated that Dickinson had “disrespected Ozzfest” during the tour. The event caused Dickinson and company to leave the tour early.

According to reports, Sharon had directed disruptions to Maiden’s public address system, postponed Eddie, their mascot, and urged the crowd to hurl bottles at Dickinson.

As part of a “oral history” of Ozzfest, Sharon and Ozzy discussed their feud with the vocalist of “Fear Of The Dark” in a recent interview with Billboard. Just the singer was involved. The other band members are amazing individuals. Not at all problematic. But things never work out well when you have a singer who is racked with jealousy towards the main act.

He would enter the stage, turn to face the crowd, and utter derogatory remarks. Show disdain for others. Ozzy told the magazine, “I didn’t condone the fucking lights,” in addition to everything else. Simply state, “I don’t want the gig,” if that is your desire. However, it’s really dumb if you take the job and then just whine about it.
