The Wife of Iron Maiden Drummer Nicko McBrain Is Charged with Assault
This year, Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain’s wife was taken into custody and charged with domestic abuse; she is scheduled to appear in court next month. On May 3, Rebecca McBrain will appear before a judge following allegations that she attempted to knife her husband* and hurl logs at him.
The event reportedly happened at the couple’s house on February 24, close to Boca Raton, Florida, according to Boca News Now. Although her attempt to kill herself did not succeed, the logs gave her some minor injuries, leading to her arrest and booking at the Palm Beach County Jail.
The logs were reportedly resting in a fire pit behind the house, according to Bravewords. The 50-year-old pleaded not guilty and was set free on a $3,000 bond.
Rebecca’s ‘Voyager’ CD was produced by the McBrains in the early 2000s. Nicko wrote five of the eight songs on the album, produced it, and played drums on every track. The Button South in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is where the pair is believed to have first met in 1984.
Iron Maiden revealed seven US dates on their Maiden England Tour earlier this month.
