The real reason Suri broke off her final relationship with her famous father, and why Tom Cruise “cut her out of his life”
After years of no communication, 18-year-old Suri Cruise has turned her back on her father Tom Cruise, and an analyst has claimed that the actor “chosen not to see Suri.”
According to a source, Tom Cruise has “chosen not to see his daughter” over the years since his Scientology faith has taken priority in his life.
It’s thought that Suri Cruise has abandoned her father’s last name and is now going by Suri Noelle because she and her father have had a tense relationship for many years. Under her new identity, Suri will go by her mother Katie Holmes’ middle name.
A source has now stated that “Tom has chosen not to see Suri” for the past 11 years, amid the estrangement. They further stated: “It was entirely Tom’s decision not to see Suri.”
Expert on Tom’s Scientology, Tony Ortega, continued, saying: “Tom has repeatedly demonstrated that his primary allegiance is to [his religion] and David Miscavige.” Over time, it “became more and more obvious Tom had completely cut Suri out of his life,” he stated in an interview with In Touch magazine.
According to the expert, Suri is “better off” now that her father is not around. “She seems like a terrific and well-adjusted young woman,” Tony clarified.
Tom had expressed a wish to start a family before he and his daughter got estranged. “I’ve wanted to be a father my entire life.
“I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me, and I would always be there for them and love them – that I’d never make a promise to my kids I couldn’t keep,” Tom stated to Vanity Fair in 2006.
Tom made an attempt to clarify the cause of his alienation in November 2013. “Hey, hear this: things change after a divorce. When asked in a deposition why he took a plane to London from Pittsburgh, where he was shooting Jack Reacher, to attend a church function that was “important” to him, he replied, “And it’s more complicated.”
But since his daughter solely resides in New York, he didn’t extend an invitation. “To make things happen, you need to set up timetables and request authorization. Therefore, the situation isn’t great,” he remarked.
