Jackie Chan Tells His Fans “It’s Just A Character” and Not To Worry About His Older Appearance
Jackie Chan, the producer and director of Kung Fu and an action and stunt movie hero, has advised friends and fans who were worried about his health after sharing pictures of the actor seeming elderly and gray to “not worry.” “It’s just a character from my most recent film.”
The actor, who turned 70 on April 7, said on his Instagram account that he had always been willing to “try new things for a movie, no matter if it’s a challenging stunt or breakthrough appearance for a character.” He had been spotted in a number of online photos with white hair, a white beard, and an incredibly old appearance.
Chan said that even though his friends keep reminding him that he is turning 70 this year, his friend Sammo Hung’s words, “being able to grow old is a fortunate thing,” always come to mind.
Chan stated: “We stunt people, in particular, are unaware of how fortunate we are to be able to age. I’ve worked in the entertainment industry for 62 years, and I’m grateful for every second of it because I get to continue making movies now.
“My staff has been searching through my photo archives lately and has discovered a ton of amazing pictures. I’ll be posting a handful of them along with this message. Seeing these pictures reminds me of so many wonderful times. “I love making movies and I love you all,” is all I have to say.
