Papa Roach’s announces New Album; Hit On Yet Another Chart

Papa Roach has been promoting their current single “Leave a Light On” for more than half a year now. Even after so many months, the tune is still not only performing well, it’s reaching Billboard charts it’s never gotten a chance to appear on before

This week, “Leave a Light On” debuts on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. That list, published weekly by Billboard, ranks the most-consumed tunes in the nation of any genre that fit under the umbrella terms of rock or alternative music.

“Leave a Light On” is new at No. 50 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart this frame. That’s a very low starting point; it’s last place on the 50-spot roster, actually.

Papa Roach has now accrued 18 appearances on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart throughout their time together. The band hasn’t earned a new win on the tally since 2021, when several cuts from the group debuted.

As “Leave a Light On” opens on the top rock and alternative songs tally, it’s steady on another, related list. The single keeps at No. 17 on the Alternative Airplay chart this frame. That’s the title’s high point, and it’s now been living on that roster for 18 turns.

“Leave a Light On” is the most recent single from Papa Roach’s latest album, Ego Trip. The full-length dropped in spring 2022, and the band has been pushing tunes from it ever since–as well as before it arrived. This latest track was shared in conjunction with a charitable program that aims to end suicide.

As Papa Roach’s current single continues to rise, the hard rockers see one of their oldest and biggest hits continue to chart as well. “Last Resort,” which is arguably the group’s most famous production, is up this week on Billboard’s Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally. The smash lifts slightly to No. 23 from No. 25, after once peaking at No. 20.
