Dodgers News: Los Angeles Dodgers Could Target Juan Soto Next Offseason
The Los Angeles Dodgers are rumored to be targeting All-Star slugger Juan Soto

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Los Angeles Dodgers are eyeing another significant offseason move, this time targeting All-Star slugger Juan Soto.

“Dodgers: They’re always a threat, and don’t think their $1.4 billion winter spending spree means they are tapped out,” Heyman writes. “They rarely pass up a chance to at least play for the biggest and best.”

Despite already boasting a roster full of superstars and committing over $1.2 billion in free agent signings last offseason, including $700 million for Shohei Ohtani, the Dodgers are not done yet. Soto, who will become a free agent at the end of the season, is a prime candidate for their next big acquisition.

The Dodgers’ front office has shown time and again that money is no obstacle. Adding Soto, a 25-year-old phenom with a resume that includes three All-Star selections, a World Series title, multiple Silver Slugger awards, and an NL batting championship, would further solidify their powerhouse status.

Soto’s potential signing could result in one of the largest contracts ever for a non-two-way player. While it’s uncertain if the Dodgers will offer such a deal, their history suggests they won’t shy away from pursuing top talent.
