Highly promising teenager Jack Shorrock has agreed a three year professional contract with the club.
The left-sided player joins Ben Lomax, Baylee Dipepa and James Plant in graduating from the youth team to agree a professional deal.
Shorrock is seen as one of the club’s brightest prospects and has already made seventeen senior appearances despite only recently turning 17 years of age. He also holds the club records for youngest player to make a senior appearance and youngest player to score a senior goal.
Manager Darren Moore commented that: “It’s really exciting for the us to have a young player of Jack’s quality commit their immediate future to the club and myself, along with all of the First Team staff, are all really looking forward to working closely with him over the coming seasons to further his development.”
Academy Director Will Ryder added: “I am absolutely delighted for Jack and unbelievably proud for him signing his first professional football contract with the club. The way that I have seen him grow as a person off the pitch and as a professional on the pitch is unbelievable.”
