What do you mean, what happened with them? Technically they’re still around; lead singer Doug Gray is the only original member still in the band.

Tommy Caldwell, their original bassist, died following a car accident in 1980 when he was 30, and his brother, guitarist Toy Caldwell (who also wrote most of their songs) died at 45 in 1993 due to a cocaine-related heart attack. Original rhythm guitarist George McCorkle died of cancer in 2007 at 60. Aside from Gray, original keyboardist and flautist Jerry Eubanks and drummer Paul Riddle are still alive but no longer with the band.

They haven’t released a studio album since 2007, but they still tour, although their current tour dates have all been postponed due to COVID.

So basically, the same thing happened to them as happens to a lot of bands after almost 50 years: some members died, some members left, and those who remain continue on for as long as there are enough fans left to make touring worthwhile.

The Marshall Tucker Band is a Southern rock band that originated in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The band was formed in 1972 and achieved significant commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the Marshall Tucker Band was still active and performing. The band has undergone various lineup changes over the years, as is common with many musical groups. They have continued to tour and perform at concerts and music festivals.
