Howard stern expresses deep sadness over controvesy with New Wife

The age difference between Howard Stern and his second wife, Beth Ostrosky, is notable. The 18 years between them have sparked much criticism, even from Stern’s eldest daughter Emily who was initially unhappy with her father dating the model after divorcing her mom, Alison Berns. Stern being Beth’s senior by 18 years has also caused conflict between them, most notably her refusal to be buried alongside him. But it’s also sparked some hilarious segments on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. Including a conversation about why Stern and Beth never had kids together.

Howard Stern Didn’t Want To Marry Beth If She Already Had Kids From Another Relationship
Howard Stern’s staffers berated him on air when he revealed that he and his longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky had gotten engaged back in 2007. Prior to this, Stern had made several public declarations of never wanting to get married following his divorce from his Boston University sweetheart, Alison Berns. Both during and after Stern shed his shock jock image, the man made an absolute fortune by exposing details about his personal life, including his vicious on-air fights with his first wife that contributed to their divorce.
Audience members, and even Stern’s staff, seemed to be invested in his relationship with his much younger girlfriend, who he had met in 2000. But no one thought he’d buckle and get married again.
While Stern relented and gave in to Beth’s marriage desires, he never wanted to have more kids. That includes both having children with Beth or becoming a stepdad to existing ones. Beth herself knew and still knows this well, which is why she laughed in Stern’s face when he claimed he still would’ve dated her had she already had kids.
The conversation about Beth’s children came up on June 3rd, 2024 during a discussion about all of the events they had planned with Stern’s daughters.
“So, I was thinking about, how if I had kids when you and I had met, what they’re ages would’ve been… Although, I was only 26 when we met. But still, I could’ve easily had a young kid. And I was thinking about how we would be having to disrupt our lives — in a wonderful way — for my kids.”
Beth went on to say that she and Howard Stern wouldn’t have dated for long had she had kids from a prior relationship. She claimed that it would have gotten in the way of their intimate life and all of the fun activities they engaged in during the first few years of the dating.
“No. No,” Howard Stern protested during the on-air conversation.
“With all of my heart and soul, I 100% believe that to be true. If I had three young children when we met, would you have dated me?”
“Yes,” Stern said, barely stifling a laugh. One that was so infectious that Beth shot back at him.
After laughing at what she clearly thought was a lie, Beth revealed to Stern’s longtime co-host, Robin Quivers, that the pair had actually argued about this the night before. While Howard Stern believes he would have loved Beth enough to adopt her children from another marriage, the former model and animal activist clearly disagrees.
“I love you and I love your three children. I do. I treat them as my own,” Stern joked.
“Charlie’s graduation is next week. We have to go to North Carolina,” Beth quipped.
Beth Ostrosky Never Wanted To Have Kids With Howard Stern
During many segments on The Howard Stern Show, Beth Stern (formerly Ostrosky) claimed that she never really wanted kids. While she thought about having them a few times early in her life, it wasn’t a make or break for her. Had Stern wanted more children when they started dating, Beth would have had them. However, this was something Stern made clear that he didn’t want early on

How Involved Is Beth Stern In Howard Stern’s Daughter’s Lives?
After endless rumors of infighting between Howard Stern’s second wife Beth and eldest daughter, Emily, it appears their relationship has warmed. However, Emily Stern appears to live a far more reclusive and separate life from her father and his second wife when compared to her sisters. Based on photos in The Daily Mail and segments on The Howard Stern Show, the radio legend and Beth appear to be very close with his two younger daughters, Deborah and Emily.
According to Stern, Beth is very involved in the life of his first grandchild, Naomi. This means Beth must have a positive relationship with Stern’s middle daughter, Deborah, and her husband. At the time of this writing, it is alleged that Deborah is pregnant with her second kid. On June 3rd, 2024, Stern claimed that it would make Beth a “grandma” once again.
Beth Stern was also present at Ashley Jade’s wedding to Adam Weinstein in the summer of 2023. While it’s unclear if she was in the wedding party, we do know that she attended the ceremony and all of the events. This is even though Stern’s ex-wife Alison Berns was also in attendance.
According to Page Six, Beth Stern has also been spotted attending various events with Howard Stern’s daughters, especially Ashley with whom she appears to have a close relationship. However, Beth has also been spotted hanging out with her husband’s eldest daughter, Emily, dispelling New York Post rumors that they weren’t on speaking terms.
Ultimately, Howard Stern reveals little information about his daughters’ personal lives so we cannot know the full extent of their relationship with his much younger second wife, Beth.
