Chicago Sky Coach Sends Stern Message To Fans About Angel Reese’s Flagrant Foul On Caitlin Clark

The talk of the WNBA world over the past few days has been Angel Reese’s flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark during the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever game on Father’s Day.

Anybody who actually watches basketball could tell that Reese wasn’t intentionally hitting Clark on the head. Rather, she was making an attempt to block Clark’s layup, which backfired into a foul—and a lot of drama.

But Reese’s intentions hasn’t stopped Caitlin Clark fans from flooding Reese’s comments ever since the foul occurred, saying disparaging and derogatory things to the 22-year-old rookie.

And Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon has heard enough of it.

In an interview with WGN 9 Chicago that came out on Tuesday, Coach Weatherspoon is quoted saying, “You have to move on,” regarding fan and media reception to the flagrant foul. “It wasn’t intentional, ref made the call and we have to accept it and play [on].”

The Sky’s 4-9 record at the moment makes it clear that Coach Weatherspoon has enough to worry about without answering constant questions about what was clearly not an intentional play by Reese.
