The country music artist has lost a dispute involving two of the greatest names in music.
This past week saw Morgan Wallen’s joint song with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help,” take the top place on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, which features songs from all musical genres. This was Wallen’s 19th week at the top since the year 2020 began.
Chart Data indicates that Wallen’s 19 non-consecutive weeks have surpassed Taylor Swift’s 18 for this decade.
Wallen and Swift have been at the top of the charts for a while, so this isn’t the first time they’ve faced off in a struggle for dominance in the music industry. Wallen’s most recent album, One Thing at a Time, debuted at number thirty on the list all at once in 2023. a fresh best.
In 2024, Wallen’s record was broken by one when Taylor Swift released The Tortured Poets Department, which contained—you guessed it—31 singles that all peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Despite recent court appearances and public tongue lashings from the Nashville city council, Wallen’s success keeps coming in. His Tennessee-themed pub in Nashville debuted to great acclaim despite being pushed back, and his show is still going on.
