The 40-year-old McGuire was not allowed to keep the ball that struck her, but she has since received 110 personalized Topps baseball cards in the mail that feature an image of her swollen forehead.

The Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette fouled off a pitch while he was up to bat in the game on Friday night between Toronto and the Tampa Bay Rays. McGuire and her companion were seated behind the third base line when the ball was blasted over the safety netting in the lower bowl of Rogers Center.

McGuire said that she didn’t notice the ball flying at her when she momentarily looked away from the field to speak with her buddy.

“It just hit me, after I heard someone scream,” the woman recalled.

In an email on Tuesday, the Blue Jays stated that McGuire made the decision to go back to her seat and watch the remainder of the game after being treated to right away by stadium medical personnel.Major League Baseball fan hit in the face by 110-mph foul ball during game - oregonlive.com

McGuire claimed that Topps, the trading card maker, contacted her and requested permission to use one of the photos on a custom card after she shared pictures of her swollen face and the black eye that resulted on social media.
